it’s possible to be fingered AND to have sex without ‘popping your cherry’, AKA breaking your hymen. 

the special doctor that examines vaginas is called a gynecologist and is not the same kind of doctor that examines penises. in fact, men don’t have their penises examined. regularly like women have their vaginas examined. your gynecologist cannot tell whether or not you’re a virgin, but you shouldn’t lie to them if you have had sex. by disclosing that you have had sex, they’re going to examine your vagina in a different matter and will be looking for different things like infections. you don’t want to have these overlooked, trust me. 

18 is the general age that a female should visit a gynecologist, but many women wait until they’re in their 20s before doing this.
